Job Description:Surgical Technologist
The Staff Pad has partnered with a client in Montana who has a vision to be the gold standard for Healthcare. We are searching for aSurgical Technologistto support the organizations mission.The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring that the operating suite is properly prepared, and that surgical instruments and supplies are maintained at optimal levels. This role also includes the responsibility of cleaning and sterilizing instruments, handling medications under supervision, and contributing to departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the sterile field is maintained.
  
• Ensure the operating suite is fully prepared for each procedure, including the availability of necessary instruments and supplies.
  
• Monitor the PAR levels of surgical instruments and supplies, placing orders and organizing stock as needed.
  
• Clean and sterilize all surgical instruments according to established protocols.
  
• Handle medications under the direct supervision of the surgeon or nurse.
  
• Actively participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
  
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to ensure optimal patient care and a safe working environment.
  
  
  Requirements Qualifications:
  
• Experience:

• Minimum of three years of experience as an operating room technician or certification in OR technology.
  
• Ability to function independently as an operating room scrub in all surgical specialties.
  
• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    
  • Graduation from a two-year Surgical Technologist program preferred.
    
  • Licensure/Certification/Registry:
    • Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
